Kevin Durant’s move to The Golden State Warriors and how Dremond Green weedled him into making that decision

There are a lot of big changes coming this 2016-2017 NBA season. Arguably the biggest change is former OKC small forward and 2013-2014 MVP Kevin Durant signing with 2016 Playoff losers, The Golden State Warriors.

For those readers less familiar with team rosters, The Warriors are known for hosting a ridiculous collection of big names and even bigger talent. With KD on their team, league dynamic will change. I predict that KD’s move will effect The Warriors in a similar way to LeBron James’ 2010 move to The Miami Heat (who also already boasted a power-house of talent). Because The Warriors have become this super-team, I think they will take on the roll of NBA villain. I know I’m biased as a Cavs fan, but it’s going to be SO FUN to root against them this year, not to mention watch them struggle in the early season to establish some kind of team cohesion amongst all those big egos.

On top of that, KD’s move represents a method of team-building that has put some people, including NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, on edge.

“Just to be absolutely clear, I do not think that’s ideal from the league standpoint … For me, part of it is designing a collective bargaining agreement that encourages the distribution of great players throughout the league. On the other hand, I absolutely respect a player’s right to become a free agent and, in this case, for Kevin Durant to make a decision that he feels is best for him. I have no idea what’s in his mind or heart in terms of how he went about making that decision. …” – Adam Silver (NBA Commissioner) on his concern regarding Durant’s move, ESPN

Well, Adam Silver, I cannot ease your discomfort with this huge move, but I can tell you what was in KD’s mind when he was making his decision to join The Warriors. It was Dreymond Green, GS’s power forward and on-call groin-kicker. Sounds like a nightmare.
